New Tatami

We offer complete tatami replacement, including the surface (tatami omote), borders (heri) and base layer (toko). By using construction-grade tatami base materials, we provide improved thermal insulation and enhanced durability, ensuring trouble-free surface replacements in the future. This also helps prevent pest infestations such as dust mites.

What is tatami

These mats harmonise beautifully with various spaces, from Japanese-style rooms to living rooms, not only creating a distinctively Japanese atmosphere but also soothing our spirits with their unique softness and comfortable seating.

Ryukyu Tatami

This is a tatami mat without borders. The term "Ryukyu tatami" actually refers to tatami mats that use a special covering called "Shichito-omote" (seven islands matting). Traditionally, these borderless tatami mats are known as "enmushi-tatami". The square-shaped tatami mats without borders blend well even in Western-style rooms. The tatami surfaces made of Japanese paper (washi) or resin are available in more than 20 colours, including the traditional green as well as black, white, cherry blossom pink and indigo. They also come in various patterns, such as twill weave and plain weave.
